Dacia

Find out how Dacia are making adventure affordable and accessible, and how to earn the Scouts Adventure Challenge Award.

We've joined forces with Dacia to make adventure affordable and accessible to young people throughout the UK.

Their Outdoor Adventure Fund is available to all sections looking for financial support for an adventure, and they are also funding towards the cost of young people and volunteers getting permits and training.

Plus, we've co-designed exciting new activities to help Scouts of all ages prepare for an adventure and help them reduce the environmental impact of going on one.

About Dacia

Dacia keeps sight of what’s essential, making sure people have everything they need and nothing they don’t. Doing things simply helps to make new cars affordable for the masses.

The outdoors is a perfect place to enjoy simple pleasures and Dacia believe adventures should be affordable and accessible for every young person across the UK.

The Scouts’ Guide to Winter Adventure

The great outdoors doesn’t close for winter. In fact, that’s when nature can be at its most spectacular.

But it’s easy to get caught out in the cold. That’s why you need to be prepared for outdoor adventures with the right equipment and clothing. And hot chocolate, of course.

In this guide, produced in partnership with Dacia, we’ve provided some great tips to make the most of the outdoors this winter, from a winter camp complete with some tasty cooking ideas to shelter building and fire lighting. Start planning your winter adventures (and don’t forget to wrap up warm!).

Please remember that safety is always your first priority when attempting any activity in this guide. Read more about staying safe here.
