There’s no I in Team. As a volunteer manager you line manage your team at Group or District level. This workshop is for Group Scout Leaders and District Explorer Scout Commissioners and will help you create and support an effective and diverse team. We’ll be discussing the difference between managing volunteers compared to employees, flexible scouting, having effective meetings to get people on board, where to get support and how to utilise the strengths within your team.

Positive and regular reviews can create a happy and effective team. Prevention is better than cure! This workshop will focus on the Group Scout Leader and District Explorer Scout Commissioner's responsibilities around the review process. Including formal and informal procedures, support around difficult conversations and useful tools to familiarise yourself with in this area. Including role descriptions, the policy, compliance and talent management.
