Nights Away Notifications

Nights Away Notifications

Before Compass Freeze (until 6 November)

  • Volunteers are encouraged to submit Nights Away Notifications for any activities whilst Compass is offline by 31 October, to make approving these as simple as possible.
  • Locally, Lead Volunteers may set their own deadlines, in order to manage their workload and make sure NANs can be processed ahead of Compass going offline.

During Compass Freeze (from 7 November)

  • Volunteers reviewing and approving Nights Away Notifications won’t be able to check member records using Compass but can do so manually.
  • Information on disclosures, first aid and training compliance used as part of this will be made available through the local data report provided by HQ.

From Go-Live (From 21 November for Early Adopters and from 28 November for everyone else)

  • Districts and Counties are encouraged to start using the new Nights Away Notification process through the digital system, or they can continue with their current offline processes.
