Learning
Learning
Before Compass Freeze (until 6 November)
- All learning, including Safety and Safeguarding learning must be completed, validated and recorded on Compass.
During Compass Freeze (from 7 November)
- No learning can be recorded on Compass.
- The Safety and Safeguarding e-learning modules can continue to be completed while Compass is offline. This will allow for Scouts activities/events to continue if something unexpected occurs.
- If, locally, there is a need for this learning to be used, the relevant District or County/Area/Region Lead Volunteer (Commissioner) can make the decision and must contact Support Centre who will pass on the links to complete this.
- If current e-learning modules are completed while Compass is offline, they cannot be backdated in the new system. Volunteers must complete the new Safety or Safeguarding learning in the new learning tool.
- The training compliance volunteer team have been stood down now Compass has closed.
From Go-Live (From 21 November for Early Adopters and from 28 November for everyone else)
- All volunteers can access learning through the digital system and complete these as required.
- Any volunteer who completed the previous Safety or Safeguarding learning while Compass was offline must complete the equivalent Growing Roots learning.
