Edit personal details

To watch in full screen, double click the video

Start by signing in to scouts.org.uk.

On the left-hand side menu, (if you’re using a phone, click the menu button on the top right):

1. Click 'My Profile'.

On the 'Personal details' page:

Request name change:

2. Next to first name, click 'Request name change'.

3. In the text boxes, type changes required. 'First name' and 'Last name' are mandatory fields.

4. Complete the 'Reason for change' mandatory field.

5. Click 'Browse' to attach relevant documentation to support the request to change your name.

6. Click 'Submit request'.

If you do not want to change your name, click 'Discard'.

Request date of birth change:

2. Next to date of birth, click 'Request DOB Change'. This will open a create request form.

3. Under 'Subject', type 'Request DOB change'.

4. Select 'Case type' from the dropdown menu.

5. Complete the 'Details of request' free text box.

6. Click 'Browse' to attach the relevant documentation to support the request to change your date of birth.

7. Click 'Submit request'.

Edit Salutation/Title, Preferred name, Identifying pronouns and Honours:

2. On the right-hand side, next to 'Salutation/Title', click 'Edit'.

3. Select 'Salutation/Title' from the dropdown menu.

4. Type your preferred name in the text box.

5. Select 'Identifying pronoun' from the dropdown menu.

6. Select 'Honour 1' from the dropdown menu, repeat for Honour 2 and 3 from the dropdown menus.

7. Click 'Save changes'.

If you do not want to add or change your salutation, preferred name, identifying pronouns or honours, click 'Discard' to close these boxes.

Edit login email address:

2. Under 'Email address', next to 'Login email', click 'Request login email change'.

On the 'Edit login email address' page:

3. Add your new email address in the 'New Login Email' field.

4. In 'Confirm new login email', type the same email address.

5. Under 'Reason', type the reason for changing your login email address'

6. Click 'Submit'.

If you do not want to change your login email address, click 'Discard'.

Edit communication email address:

2. Under 'Email address', next to 'Communication email', click 'Edit'.

On the 'Edit communication email address' page:

3. In 'New communication email', type the changes to your email address.

4. In 'Confirm new communication email', type the same email address.

5. Click 'Save changes'.

If you do not want to change your communication email address, click 'Discard'.

Edit phone number:

2. Under 'Phone number', click 'Edit'.

On the 'Edit phone number' page:

3. In 'Contact number', type your number.

4. In 'Alternate phone', type an alternative contact number.

5. Click 'Save changes'.

If you do not want to change your phone number, click 'Discard'.

Edit registered address:

2. Under 'Registered address', click 'Edit'.

On the 'Edit registered address details' page:

3. Click to find an address.

4. In 'Find address', start typing the first line of your address, and select your address from the dropdown list when it appears. Click 'Use this address'.

If you are unable to find your address in the dropdown list, type your address in the text boxes.

5. Click 'Save changes'.

If you do not want to change your registered address, click 'Discard'.

Edit postal address:

2. Under 'Postal address', click 'Edit'.

On the 'Edit postal address' page:

3. Click to find an address.

4. In 'Find address', start typing the first line of your address, and select your address from the dropdown list when it appears.

If you are unable to find your address in the dropdown list, type your address in the text boxes.

5. Click 'Save changes'.

If you do not want to change your postal address, click 'Discard'.


Edit medical and emergency information

Start by signing in to scouts.org.uk.

On the left-hand side menu (if you’re using a phone, click the menu button on the top right):

1. Click 'My profile'.

2. Click 'Medical details'.

On the 'Medical and emergency' page:

Allergies

3. Under 'Allergies', click 'Edit' to add or make changes.

4. Tick the boxes next to the relevant allergens.

5. Tick the 'Other' option and complete the 'Please describe your allergies', text box if your allergy is not listed.

6. Click 'Save changes'.

If you do not want to change your allergy details, click 'Discard'.

Dietary needs

3. Under 'Dietary needs', click 'Edit' to add or make changes.

4. Tick the boxes next to the relevant dietary needs.

5.  Tick the 'Other' option and complete the 'Please complete your dietary needs' text box if your need is not listed.

6. Click 'Save changes'.

If you do not want to change your dietary needs, click 'Discard'.

NHS number

3. Under 'NHS number', click 'Edit' to add or make changes.

4. In the text box, type your NHS number.

You can find your NHS number on the NHS website.

5. Click 'Save changes'.

If you do not want to add or change your NHS number, click 'Discard'.

Any other medical information

3. Under 'Any other medical information', click 'Edit'.

4. In the text box, type any other medical information.

5. Click 'Save changes'.

If you do not want to add or change other medical information, click 'Discard'.

Emergency contacts

3. Under 'Emergency contacts', click 'Edit'.

4. In the text boxes, type the name, relationship, main phone number, alternative phone number and default email of your main emergency contact.

5. To find an address, start typing their address in the text box and select their address from the dropdown list when it appears.

6. Click 'Use this address'.

If you are unable to find their address in the dropdown list, type their address in the text boxes.

7. Click 'Save changes'.

If you do not want to add or change your main emergency contacts details, click 'Discard'.

Alternate emergency contact

3. Under 'Emergency contacts', click 'Alternate emergency contact'.

4. Under 'Name', click 'Edit'.

5. In the text boxes, type the name, relationship, main phone number, alternative phone number and default email of your alternate emergency contact.

5. To find an address, start typing their address in the text box and select their address from the dropdown list when it appears. 

6. Click 'Use this address'.

If you are unable to find the address in the dropdown list, type the address in the text boxes.

7. Click 'Save changes'.

If you do not want to add or change your alternate emergency contacts details, click 'Discard'.

GP surgery details

3. Click 'GP surgery details'.

4. Under 'Name of GP surgery', click 'Edit'.

5. In the text boxes, type the name of the GP surgery, doctor's name, surgery phone number, and surgery email. 

6. To find an address, start typing the surgery address in the text box and select the address from the dropdown list when it appears. 

7. Click 'Use this address'.

If you are unable to find the address in the dropdown list, type the address in the text boxes.

8. Click 'Save changes'.

If you do not want to add or change your GP Surgery details, click 'Discard'.


Edit privacy and visibility settings

Start by signing in to scouts.org.uk.

1. On the top right-hand side of the screen, click your initial in the circle. If you’re using your phone, click the three-line menu button and then click your initial in the circle.

2. Click 'Settings'.

On the 'Settings' page:

3. Click 'Privacy/visibility'.

4. On the 'Visibility settings' page, click 'Change'.

On the 'Edit profile visibility settings' page:

5. Use the dropdown menu to select which members in the organisation can see your details as a Permit Assessor.

6. Using the dropdown menu, select 'Yes' or 'No' to determine whether your details can be searched outside your hierarchy.

7. Using the dropdown menu, select the level at which your details can be searched.

Your details can be searched at the level you select and below. For example, if you select District, your details can be searched for by Group and District members.

Under 'Personal data visibility':

8. Use the buttons to select which information can be searched for by people within the organisation.

If you have clicked 'Yes' on any of the buttons, use the dropdown menu to select the organisation level that can search these details.

9. Click 'Submit'.

If you do not want to keep these changes, click 'Discard'.


Check my roles

Start by signing in to scouts.org.uk.

On the left-hand side menu (if you’re using a phone, click the menu button on the top right):

1. Click 'My Profile'.

2. Click 'Roles and accreditations'.

3. Click 'My roles'.

4. Under 'Current roles', you’ll see a list of your current roles.

Use the button to view historic roles.

5. Click the role name to view approval and disclosure, approval audit and key learning information for this role.

6. Under 'Default team leader' you’ll see the list of the default team leaders or lead volunteers for your role(s).


Edit diversity and inclusion information

Start by signing in to scouts.org.uk.

On the left-hand side menu (if you’re using a phone, click the menu button on the top right):

1. Click 'My profile'.

2. Click 'Diversity and inclusion'.

On the 'Diversity and inclusion' page:

3. Click 'Edit'.

4. Select your nationality from the dropdown list.

5. Select your ethnicity from the dropdown list.

6. Select your religion from the dropdown list.

7. Select from the dropdown list to record if you have physical health/mental health/neurodiverse conditions.

8. Select your gender from the dropdown list.

9. Select from the dropdown list to record if the gender you identify with is the same or not as your sex registered at birth.

10. Select from the dropdown list to record your sexual orientation.

11. Click 'Save changes'.

If you don’t want to make these changes, click 'Discard'.

Under 'What we need to know':

12. Click 'Edit'.

13. Type any access needs, support requirements or other considerations you would like your team leader to be aware of.

14. Click 'Submit'.

If you don’t want to make these changes, click 'Discard'.


Edit my qualifications

Start by signing in to scouts.org.uk.

On the left-hand side menu (if you’re using a phone, click the menu button on the top right):

1. Click 'My profile'.

2. Click 'My qualifications'.

Add a qualification

On the 'My qualifications' page:

3. Click 'Add qualification'.

4. Under 'Add qualification', type the qualification name, issued by, issued date, and date of expiry in the boxes.

5. Click 'Browse' to attach relevant supporting documentation.

6. Click 'Create' to add the qualification to your profile.

If you do not want to add a qualification, click 'Discard'.

Edit a qualification

On the 'My qualifications' page:

3. Click the name of the qualification you want to edit.

4. In the text boxes, edit the qualification name, issued by, issued date, and date of expiry.

5. Click 'Browse' to attach relevant supporting evidence.

6. Click 'Update' to make the changes.

If you do not want to keep these changes click 'Discard', or if you no longer want this qualification on your profile click 'Delete'.


Edit my awards preferences

Start by signing in to scouts.org.uk.

On the left-hand side menu (if you’re using a phone, click the menu button on the top right):

1. Click 'My Profile'.

2. Click 'Award preferences'.

On the 'Awards preferences' page:

3. Select 'Cloth' or 'Brooch' to record the type of badge you’d like to receive.

Under 'Primary location':

4. Select your location from the dropdown list.

Under 'Your name':

5. Type what name you’d like to be printed on certificates in the box.

6. Click 'Save'.

If you don’t want to make these changes, click 'Cancel'.


Edit language

Start by signing in to scouts.org.uk.

On the top right-hand side of the screen:

1. Click your initial in the circle. If you’re using your phone, click the three-line menu button, then click on your initial in the circle.

2. Click 'Cymraeg' to change the language to Welsh.


Edit communication preferences

Start by signing in to scouts.org.uk.

1. On the top right-hand of the screen, click your initial in the circle. If you’re using your phone, click the three-line menu button, then click your initial in the circle.

2. Click 'Settings'.

Under 'Settings':

3. Click 'Communication preferences'.

4. Use the sliders to select whether you wish to receive the membership email and information from Scout Store, Unity Insurance Services, official partnerships with Scouts, Scout Adventures, or fundraising.

5. Click 'Save changes'.

If you do not want to keep these changes, click 'Discard'.
