Check my awards

Start by signing in to scouts.org.uk.

On the left-hand side menu (if you’re using a phone, click the menu button on the top right):

1. Click 'Awards'.

2. Click 'My awards'.

3. Click 'My awards' list

On the 'My awards' page:

4. You will see any awards that you hold


Nominate someone for an award

Start by signing in to scouts.org.uk.

On the left-hand side menu (if you’re using a phone, click the menu button on the top right):

1. Click 'Awards'.

Under 'Browse awards':

2. Find the award you want to nominate someone for.

3. Click 'Nominate'.

Under 'Nominate': 

4. Type the name or membership number of the volunteer you want to nominate in the box.

5. Click 'Search'.

6. Under 'Nominee', click to select the volunteer.

Under 'Add details':

7. Check the information in the boxes.

8. Click 'Next'.

Under 'Nominee':

9. Complete the mandatory fields; Main role in Scouts, Service in addition to their main role, Key achievements, Level of service and community involvement.

10. Add any other relevant information.

11. Upload any supporting documents.

12. Add a citation.

13. If you're not ready to submit the application, click 'Save' to keep the information.

14. Click 'Submit to supporter/approver' if your application is complete.

If you no longer want to nominate the volunteer, click 'Cancel' to delete the information.


View saved and submitted award nominations

Start by signing in to scouts.org.uk.

On the left-hand side menu (if you’re using a phone, click the menu button on the top right):

1. Click 'Awards'.

2. Click 'Nominate someone'.

Under 'My nominations':

3. Click the name of the nominee to view the award nomination, or to complete and submit the nomination.

 
Tasks for Lead Volunteers

Approve and support award nominations

Start by signing in to scouts.org.uk. 

On the left-hand side menu (if you’re using a phone, click the menu button on the top right): 

1. Click ‘Awards’. 

2. Click ‘Manage nominations’. 

On the ‘Manage nominations’ page: 

3. Click the nominee’s name from the list.  

On the ‘Details’ page: 

4. Click ‘Next’ at the bottom of the page.  

On the ‘nominee’ page: 

5. Click ‘Approver/Supporter Comments’ to fill in the form. 

Under the ‘Approver/Supporter Comments’ section: 

6. Select an option from the ‘Multiple location’ dropdown menu. 

7. Type your supporting statement into the box. 

8. Click ‘Add attachment’, then type the attachment description into the box. 

9. Click ‘Browse’, select your document and click ‘Open’. 

10. Click ‘Citation’ to continue filling in the form or click ‘Save’ to continue the nomination later. 

Under the ‘Citation’ section: 

11. Type your citation into the box.

12. Tick the box to confirm the details you have inputted are correct.

13. Click ‘Support/approve’ or ‘Not supporting/approving’.
