Types of Permit

The table below summarises the three types of permit, to show what each type allows you to do.

With a Personal Activity Permit you can take part in activities with other under-18s who also hold a Personal Activity Permit. You cannot lead an activity for under-18s without a Leadership or Supervisory Permit or take part with adults.

With a Leadership Permit you can lead on activities for any section while remaining with them offering close supervision. You cannot supervise multiple groups onsite or remotely.

With a Supervisory Permit you can supervise up to three activity groups undertaking the same activity. You cannot approve groups to do an activity without supervising them.
