The Essential Guide to Running Scouting Residential Experiences
Nights Away is a print publication containing everything you need to know for enjoying the outdoors and taking young people away safely and with confidence.
Aimed at all volunteers in Scouts, it provides advice on the best equipment to take, ways of preparing your staff and how to make the most of your time away.
Illustrated in full colour throughout, and with its own smart binder, Nights Away is the definitive guide to camping and the outdoors. You can buy it from Scout Store.

The Nights Away Notification (NAN) form, using your local digital solution or using the Nights away notification function in the membership system needs to be filled out as soon as possible (at least 7 days) in advance of your nights away event and sent to your District Lead Volunteer or Nights Away Approver, together with the risk assessment for the event.
We recommended that you download and install the Scouts font, Nunito Sans, beforehand.
