Global programme ideas
Learning about the world around us is an integral part of Scouting

Our global programme in Scouts
It's woven throughout the programme to support young people to become global citizens. However, these activities can mostly be found in the international badges, global issues badges, world challenge awards and the top awards.
Elements of the global programme include:
- International: Learning about Scouting in other countries and as a global movement. You can explore countries and cultures through visits abroad, as well as through activities in your regular programme.
- Global: Scouts engage with the world around us. We explore the nature on our doorstep, discover issues that effect societies around the world and meet the people that provide vital services in our communities. This helps us to learn how, as both Scouts and citizens, we can positively impact and leave the world a better place.
