Meritorious Conduct/ Gallantry awards, Cornwell Scout Badge and Chief Scout's Personal Award deadlines and what happens with nominations once emailed to the UK Headquarters Scout Awards Team.

The Process
Stage 1: Once a Meritorious Conduct, Gallantry, Cornwell Scout Badge & Chief Scouts Personal Award nomination form has been supported locally, it must be emailed to the UK Headquarters Scout Awards Team for further checks and processing.
Stage 2: Suitability check performed by UK Headquarters Vetting Team.
Stage 3: Criteria check by UK Headquarters Scout Awards Team.
Stage 4: Nomination reviewed and award decision made by the National Awards Advisory Group.
Stage 5: On a bi-monthly basis (in February, April, June, August, October and December), the award is posted to individual who holds the Awards Parcel Recipient accreditation for the relevant County/Area/Region (Scotland) ready to then be presented locally.
Stage 6: At this point it's recommended that local congratulations emails/letters are sent to the award recipient to notify them of their award and provide details of how they will be presented with it.
Stage 7: On a quarterly basis (in April, July, October and January), the award is uploaded to the relevant members profile.
Timeline
There are six nomination form submission deadlines throughout the year for Meritorious Conduct/Gallantry awards.
Completed Meritorious Conduct, Gallantry, Cornwell Scout Badge & Chief Scouts Personal Award nomination forms must be emailed to the UK Headquarters Scout Awards Team.
All award recipients of Meritorious Conduct/Gallantry awards, Cornwell Scout Badge and Chief Scout's Personal Awards will receive a congratulatory letter from the Chief Scout. This letter will be contained within the package posted to individual who holds the Awards Parcel Recipient accreditation for the relevant County/Area/Region (Scotland).

Award dispatched: By 30 June
Award uploaded to adult members profile: By 31 July

Event invites and Roll of honour
Names of all Meritorious Conduct/Gallantry award recipients approved and sent out during the calendar year (January - December) will be published in the Roll of honour in March of the following year.
For Meritorious Conduct/Gallantry awards and the Cornwell Scout Badge award recipients, where an award is sent out during the calendar year (January - December) the award recipient is invited to attend a suitable national event (e.g. Windsor, A day of Celebration) to celebrate their award the following year.
(Invites are not applicable for those receiving a Chief Scout’s Personal Award.)
