Bar to the Silver Acorn and Silver Wolf deadlines and what happens when these nominations have been supported locally via the membership system.

The Process
Stage 1: Once the decision to support a higher Good Service Award nomination via the membership system is made locally, the nomination is automatically passed to the UK Headquarters Scout Awards Team for further checks and processing.
Stage 2: Suitability check performed by UK Headquarters Vetting Team.
Stage 3: Nomination reviewed and award decision made by the National Awards Advisory Group
Stage 5: On a quarterly basis (in February, May, August and November), the award is posted to individual who holds the Awards Parcel Recipient accreditation for the relevant County/Area/Region (Scotland).
Stage 6: On a quarterly basis (two months after the quarterly award mail out), the award is uploaded to the relevant members profile.
Timeline
There are four nomination form submission deadlines throughout the year for higher Good Service Awards (noted below).
In the month after the quarterly awards mail out, Bar to the Silver Acorn award recipients will directly receive a congratulatory letter from the UK Chief Volunteer whilst Silver Wolf award recipients, will directly receive a congratulatory letter from the Chief Scout.
First Deadline
Local nomination support deadline: 31 March
Awards dispatched: By 31 May
Congratulatory letter sent: By 30 June
Award uploaded to members profile: By 31 July
Second Deadline
Local nomination support deadline: 30 June
Awards dispatched: By 31 August
Congratulatory letter sent: By 30 September
Award uploaded to members profile: By 31 October
Third Deadline
Local nomination support deadline: 30 September
Awards dispatched: By 30 November
Congratulatory letter sent: By 31 December
Award uploaded to members profile: By 31 January
Fourth Deadline
Local nomination support deadline: 31 December
Awards dispatched: By 28/29 February
Congratulatory letter sent: By 31 March
Award uploaded to members profile: By 30 April
Event invites and Roll of honour
Names of all Good Service award recipients approved and sent out during the calendar year (January - December) will be published in the Roll of honour in March of the following year.
For Silver Wolf and Bar to the Silver Acorn award recipients, where an award is sent out during the calendar year (January - December) the award recipient is invited to attend a suitable national event (e.g. Windsor, A day of Celebration) to celebrate their award the following year.
