Best use of a Local Awards and Recognition Team
There are a number of options available to the Lead Volunteer in making full use of a Local Awards and Recognition Team, some of which are included below.
- The Lead Volunteer may wish to make the decision to support/approve all Good Service award nominations for members in there location on their own.
- The Lead Volunteer may delegate the review of and decision to support/approve Good Service award nominations to other individual(s) by assigning them the Award Nominations Supporter accreditation for their location.
- The Lead Volunteer may decide to retain the final decision to support/approve all Good Service award nominations but may appoint a Local Awards and Recognition Team to support with providing advice on the nominations.
The key consideration is to ensure the Lead Volunteer seeks to set up a process to support them in their responsibilities in relation to Scout Awards.
