Campfires

Campfires

A campfire is a great chance to gather together and reflect or pray.

Scouts can reflect on the importance of praying together, known as Jama’ah in Islam.

It’s also a good time to think about what we feel grateful for.

While people look forward to making their campfire and cooking on it, they can think about how for many people a fire might be their only source of warmth in the cold, light in the dark and/or means of cooking their food.

Reflection questions

  • How does spending time around a campfire make you feel?
  • What are the different ways people use fire?
  • What things are you grateful for?
