Earth Tribe Award

Earth Tribe Award

Earth Tribe Award badge

The Earth Tribe Award is about helping us understand more about protecting our world. Find out how you can be a planet champion!

Choose one of the following pathways:

  1. Champions for Nature
    1. Identify the need

Find out how our actions and behaviour are changing nature around us. Think about what we need to do slow and reverse these changes.

    2. Plan action

Identify ways we can help nature. Think about how you can tell others about these ideas and make a plan of action.

    3. Take action

Carry out your plan. Tell people about how they can support and protect the nature around them. Remember to spread out your actions to create a lasting change.

    4. Learn and make more change

Think about how you helped to protect and support nature. Discuss with other young people why they think nature is important. Think about other actions you could take with Scouts across the world to protect the environment.

    5. Tell the world

Share with your group or local community what you did to help support and protect nature. Tell them the impact these changes can have and why you think it's important.

  2. Go Solar
    1. Identify the need

Find out how we generate energy in different ways and how they can effect the environment.

    2. Plan action

Identify ways people can use less or greener energy. Think about how you can tell others about these ideas and make a plan of action.

    3. Take action

Carry out your plan and encourage your community to be part of your action.

    4. Learn and make more change

Explore your actions so far and think about how you helped to use less or greener energy. Think about how you can achieve more with Scouts across the world.

    5. Tell the world

Share with your group or local community what you did to help use less or greener energy. Tell them the impact these changes can have and why you think it's important.

  3. Tide Turners
    1. Identify the need

Find out what happens to non-recycled waste in your local area. Explore what happens if we do not take care with our waste and how it might impact our environment.

    2. Plan action

Think of some ways you can help to keep our community clean, make less non-recycled waste, and help others do this too. Choose/pick some of these you want to do and make a plan.

    3. Take action

Carry out your plan. Organise activities to clean up your local area and tell people about how they can keep the environment clean. Remember to spread out your actions to create a lasting change.

    4. Learn and make more change

Think about your actions so far and how you helped to clean up and protect your local environment. Think about other actions you could take with Scouts across the world to protect our planet.

    5. Tell the world

Share with your group or local community what you did to clean up and protect your local environment. Tell them the impact these changes can have and why you think it's important.
