UK 18-25 Role Pool

The UK 18-25 Role Pool is a group of young people from across the UK, who are keen to make a difference and have an interest in taking on a national role with Scouts.

Members of the pool have the opportunity to register interest in exciting roles as they become available, some of which will be at short notice.

From being a member of a Project Board on one of our Programmes of Work, interviewing for a new UK Commissioner, representing Scouts at events, helping out with ad-hoc requests and so many more opportunities, there's a range of short- and long-term roles available to members of the pool.

Some members find themselves a new role quickly and will be supported and mentored in their new role as part of the next steps as they move out of the pool. Some roles may be short-term and we'll work with members to try to identify the best role for them based on the volunteer vacancies at the time. However, there's no guarantee of securing a national role by being in the role pool.

A key benefit to being on the pool is the experience, the personal development and mentoring you'll receive, and the opportunities that become available as we progress work on our Skills for Life strategy.

Previous members of our UK 18-25 Role Pool have gone on to do amazing things. Three have joined the UK Board of Trustees, one massively shaped the early years project and so many have joined various sub-committees and sub-groups across a range of projects and work.
