All about badges
Our badges and awards are part of what makes us Scouts - and Scouts love earning them!
Quick links
Whether you’re an animal lover or an avid reader, an inspired photographer or a budding chef, you name it, we’ve got a badge for it - over 200 of them, actually.
Scouts work together on badges at their weekly meetings, away at camps, on events or they can do them at home. There’s never any pressure to do badges, so Scouts can do as many or as few as they like. Badges are easy to earn and, for lots of them, you don’t need anyone special to sign them off.
For those up for a challenge, there are loads of exciting badges to aim for. We’ve got the Chief Scout's Acorn, Bronze, Silver, Gold, Platinum and Diamond Awards. These are the highest awards that Squirrels, Beavers, Cubs, Scouts and Explorers can earn.
And for those going even further, the King’s Scout Award is the top achievement for young people in Scouts.

Unlike programme badges, Blanket Badges can be purchased by anyone. Celebrate your little one’s achievements or remember a great scouting event by sewing them onto your blanket to look back on in years gone by!
Our Top Awards are designed to be challenging, relevant and rewarding, but, most of all, they should allow young people to have fun, make new friends and gain some amazing memories in Scouts. From your first Chief's Scout Award to The King's Scout Award, anything is possible.
