Such as your role in recruitment, using Scouting resources, getting the Trustee Board involved, getting your team to work together to recruit and promoting Scouts locally.

Keeping Everyone Happy – The Review ProcessTue 19th November 2024 Add to calendar

Positive and regular reviews can create a happy and effective team. Prevention is better than cure! This workshop will focus on the Group Scout Leader and District Explorer Scout Commissioner's responsibilities around the review process. Including formal and informal procedures, support around difficult conversations and useful tools to familiarise yourself with in this area. Including role descriptions, the policy, compliance and talent management.

This workshop is for Group Lead Volunteers and those who are managing the District's Explorers (DESC or 14-24 Team) and will help you create and support an effective and diverse team. We’ll be discussing the difference between managing volunteers compared to employees, flexible Scouting, having effective meetings to get people on board, where to get support and how to utilise the strengths within your team.
