Commissioners’ Safeguarding Training

Safeguarding training for Commissioners/Lead Volunteers, building on all member training and providing support and guidance for you in your role. This three-hour session is a facilitated online session. Prior to attending you must complete the current mandatory safeguarding training and have a valid Commissioner role on Compass (District and County Commissioner/Lead Volunteers and deputy roles are valid).

The training is based on learning from recent cases and allows participants to explore the nature of grooming and other safeguarding issues, focused on the role played by Commissioners/Lead Volunteers in working with the Safeguarding Team.

The courses are run once a month and include options during working hours, evenings and weekends during the year. The course capacity is 35 people. When capacity is reached, the course date will be removed from our website.

Course dates will appear on this page as they become available.
