Lead Volunteers’ Safeguarding Training
Safeguarding training for Lead Volunteers builds on all member safeguarding learning and provides support and guidance for you in your role. This three-hour session is a facilitated online session. Prior to attending you must complete the current mandatory safeguarding training and have a valid Lead Volunteer role (at District/County/Area/Region level) or Volunteer Safeguarding Lead accreditation.
The training is based on learning from recent cases and allows participants to explore the nature of grooming and other safeguarding concerns, with a focus on the role played by relevant Lead Volunteers and Volunteer Safeguarding Leads when working with the UK HQ Safeguarding Team.
The course capacity is 35 people. When capacity is reached, the course date will be removed from our website.
Further dates for 2025 will appear on this page soon.
