If you're keen to understand how to boost the local image of Scouting, then this session is for you. It’s one of a series we are running across 2025.
By the end of the session you will be able to:
- Identify everyday stories that happen termly in all Scout Districts and Counties.
- Describe out how to make these everyday events “newsworthy”, particularly when there are annual, such as Remembrance Day, Pride, Summer Camp, International Trip etc.
- Identify the key elements of a District/County Media plan (Purpose, audience, Channels, events and dates).
- Describe the difference and value of owned and earned channels.
- Describe the audiences reached by their channels and the potential rewards.
- Outline the next step in developing a workable plan and how they can get involved in activation events.
