Learning together and celebrating success
Let's celebrate success!
By sharing practical examples from amazing volunteers, we can celebrate success and inspire each other to do even more.
We know from research that lots of volunteers want to make changes to their group to become more inclusive and reach more people, but they don't know how. So, we're looking for best practice examples of how groups and volunteers are making steps towards race equity.
This might be:
- Choosing to do things differently in order to be more accessible to new communities (for example, meeting in different settings or running different activities)
- Creating opportunities for your groups to share exciting experiences with others from different backgrounds
- Arranging for your group to do fun activities which involve learning about other cultures
- Or even the small things – little behaviours that might not seem like a big deal, but that can make a huge difference someone’s sense of belonging
Tell your story, your way
Just send us a few details and we can reach out to you to find out the best way to share your story. We could use your story anonymously to help create resources, we could write a blog with you or we could consider making a video.
Whatever way, we'd love to hear from you.
