About the role
The Volunteering Experience Team at Scouts is on a mission to enhance the experience of every volunteer, whether they’ve been with us for years or have yet to join.
We believe that volunteering should be easier, more enjoyable, and accessible to everyone. By improving the volunteering experience, we aim to attract more volunteers to help us reach more young people and communities across the UK.
Our vision is to build a diverse volunteer base that reflects local communities and national demographics, ensuring every volunteer feels valued and supported as an integral part of the Scouts.
As the Volunteering Learning and Development Manager, you'll play a crucial role in creating a culture of continuous learning using digital tools and technologies that meet the diverse needs of volunteers across the UK and beyond.
You will lead the innovation and design of learning experiences, ensuring that our volunteers are equipped to deliver safe, high-quality programs and develop leadership, management, and governance skills. You will also help shape our blended learning model, bringing together e-learning and practical solutions to empower our volunteers.
There is also a great commitment to a healthy work / life balance, and good practice in place to support hybrid and flexible working (with a wonderful forest based office space too).
