Department: Scouts Adventures
Base Location: Gilwell Park, Chingford, 34 7QW - With option to live in onsite
Term: Permanent
Salary: £31,884 per annum - Band D Level 3- inclusive of Market Supplement (With onsite live in accommodation)
Salary: £33,644 per annum, Band D, Level 3 inclusive of a market & OLW (live offsite)
Hours: 40 hours including regular evenings and weekends
Line management responsibility: Cook & Kitchen Assistant
A bit about the role
This role fuels our adventures! You will be a critical part of making the young people’s experience with Scout Adventures amazing.
We have an exciting opportunity for you to join out Scout Adventures team as our Senior Cook. The role is offered with an option to live onsite in a 1-bed studio flat in the heart of our 100 acre woodland estate on the edge of the Epping Forest.
This role isn’t just about dishing out some meals to children you will be part of a team making a real difference to young people’s lives in great surroundings with a team that thrive on knowing they are making a difference every day.
This job is all about making sure our visitors and our team are ready for whatever the day throws at them. You’ll coordinate all aspects of the kitchen from ordering, compliance with food hygiene standards to staffing and of course getting meals prepared and served.
The role come with great flexibility in working hours, outside the normal pressures of the wider catering industry.
