scouts.org.uk Quick Start
Guide on how to sign in for the first time, and complete key actions
Guide last reviewed: May 2025
Welcome to Scouts! As you start your time volunteering with us, you’ll be doing some incredible things. We need you to make sure you’ve completed all the relevant steps of your Volunteer Joining Journey.
Some steps will only be relevant to particular roles, so you may not need to complete all of them. My Membership will tell you which ones apply to you.
Your new role will show as Provisional. As you complete more steps of the Volunteer Joining Journey this will change to 'Provisional + System', then 'Full' once all steps are completed.
You can find out more on the Steps in the volunteer joining journey page.
