We are looking for enthusiastic individuals to work within a team to support the Conference Operations Manager in terms of managing the operational delivery of the conference department. The conference department offers a wide range of business activity; from meetings, seminars and conferences to corporate activity days, school residential and large Scouting events. The emphasis is on ensuring that all bookings are delivered to a high standard. This is a casual role to provide support during busy times.

The purpose of this role is to manage the operations of the Association’s national Safeguarding Team to provide specialist support to the Movement on matters relating to the safeguarding of children, young people and vulnerable adults across the UK. The national Safeguarding Team act as the Association’s Designated Officers for all allegation management processes and concerns regarding the Association’s members, this includes the management of welfare concerns relating to young people in Scouting. It is the post holder’s responsibility to ensure that the Association’s national Safeguarding Operations Team is working in line with UK wide legislation and guidance to ensure the effective safeguarding of all young people in Scouting. This includes oversight and case management of allegations in accordance with the Association’s policies and procedures.

We have an exciting opportunity for a Growth and Development Officer to join the West Midlands team for a home based position covering the county of Coventry. The role is a 3 year funded fixed term contract position offering a salary of £25,741 per annum plus fantastic benefits. You will support the delivery of the county’s growth and development plans; delivering focussed growth projects working closely with volunteers in Coventry as agreed by the Senior Growth and Development Officer and Area Growth and Development Manager.

This role is the in house technical expert on volunteer learning and development/training in a large uniformed youth organisation. The role involves advising upon, designing and developing learning opportunities, piloting new learning and developing methods in partnership with Headquarters volunteers and staff to provide our volunteer membership the best support possible.. The role will involve working with a wide variety of staff and volunteer colleagues across all departments of the organisation and with volunteers at all levels.
