The Association is seeking to appoint a Safeguarding Officer to join its team supporting the development and operation of its Child Protection and Anti Bullying Policies. The post is based at Gilwell Park, London. As part of the Safeguarding Team you will be responsible for giving support and advice to local volunteer managers in responding to concerns or complaints affecting the safety and welfare of young people. This is a dual role with the responsibility of for allegation management regarding adults and young people in Scouting, as well welfare case responsibility advising on issues such as self-harm, and welfare concerns raised regarding young people in Scouting. This role will involves considerable liaison with statutory agencies UK wide.

As our Communications Officer you’ll help coordinate our communications campaigns, pull different teams together and come up with innovative ways to engage our young people, volunteers and staff.
