Business Development Manager, Gilwell Park (Ref: 14/047)

Working closely with the Centre Manager and the Deputy Head of Sales and Marketing, you will be responsible for generating revenue to achieve the sales and profitability targets across Gilwell Park Conference and Activity Centre.  Developing new business and enhancing guest relationships creating ‘clients for life,’ the post-holder will achieve a significant increase in sales, leading to new bookings and subsequent revenue.  Together with the Deputy Head of Sales and Marketing, you will create defined sales plans with targeted actions and measurable outcomes, including a process for ensuring we communicate to all existing, lapsed and prospect guests to ensure services and facilities are promoted at every opportunity.

Are you a natural in the great outdoors? We are seeking to appoint someone who has the aptitude and ability to undertake an apprentice programme of on and off the job training and gain experience as Outdoor Activity Instructor.  You will learn and develop the necessary skills and experience to assist in the delivery of safe, high quality outdoor education and training courses for children, young people and adults, and will work towards an NVQ Level 2 in Activity Leadership and appropriate technical certificates including National Governing Body awards.
