Every year, Scouts helps over 450,000 young people in the UK enjoy fun, friendship and new adventures; to experience the outdoors, interact with others, gain confidence and gain skills for life.
Established in 1907, we’ve grown to become the biggest youth organisation in the UK with Scout Groups spread throughout the country.
It's an exciting time for Scouts. We're becoming more inclusive, shaped by young people and we’re making even more of an impact in our local communities.
And it’s not just young people who can get in on the action.
Working alongside our youth members are thousands of adult volunteers, with a huge variety of roles and opportunities available.
Scouts have been prime ministers, artists, footballers, actors, entrepreneurs and musicians. They’ve climbed Everest, stood at the South Pole and walked on the moon.
Scouts are also teachers, paramedics, bus drivers and engineers – the people who make society work.
Whoever they are, they’re all united by common values of integrity, respect, trust cooperation, integrity and their promise to help other people.
We aim to keep growing, and keep giving unique opportunities to young people. That’s where help from our partners is key.
