5-minute filler for Scouts | 12 September
If you have 5 minutes to spare with your Scouts, we have you covered! Try out this fun game that will keep everyone on their toes.
This is the perfect game to test everyone’s concentration and quick thinking while keeping your Scouts occupied between activities. It’s also five minutes of high-energy fun.
Start by dividing the Scouts into two groups. The aim of this game is to get each group to organise themselves in a line depending on the category you choose. The team that organises itself the quickest wins each round.
You can start by asking Scouts to organise themselves by age from youngest to oldest; by height from tallest to shortest; or by alphabetical order of their first name. If you want to up the stakes, you can choose more random categories. For example, you can ask them to organise themselves depending on who had breakfast earliest this morning; in order of the highest pitched voice to the lowest pitched voice; or by their shoe sizes.
If you have a small group, it’s also possible to play this game without dividing the group in two and rather just time each round and get the group to try and beat their own time.
Do you want another idea for a 5-minute filler? Here’s another fun one!
