The world’s tallest climbing wall opens in London next month

Grab your chalk bag and don those rock shoes. The UK will soon be home to the world’s tallest climbing wall.
Next month a group of 5 innovative designers and engineers are proving that adventure doesn’t only exist in the countryside by creating a massive climbing wall on the side of The Shard.
At the moment the world’s tallest climbing wall belongs to the town of Groningen in The Netherlands, but that’s all about to change when the side of London’s 1,014 ft high building is being transformed into an impressive new climbing wall.
The wall will be open to anyone above the age of 12 but management strongly advise anyone with a fear of heights to take the decision very seriously as once climbers begin their ascent there is no going back down.
Obviously the wall won’t go all the way to the top of the point (that would be terrifying), but daredevils can rejoice in the fact that the wall will reach a whopping 800 feet above the ground. This will take climbers to the amazing viewing platform where they can enjoy some well-deserved drinks and nibbles.
