Profile | Bright Sparks director Emma
Scout group/type: 38th Rossendale (Open) Scout Group (young beaver leader)
Favourite thing about being in Bright Sparks: My favourite thing about being in Bright Sparks is meeting very talented individuals and being able to work with industry professionals and specialists in our chosen capacity.
Favourite Scouts activity: My favourite Scouts activity has to be the leap of faith.
Favourite band: Oh, a tough one. It’d be a hard choice between My Chemical Romance and Paramore.
Favourite film: The Perks of Being a Wallflower
Favourite book: The Great Gatsby
Favourite director: My favourite director without a doubt is Danny Boyle. He’s done very inspirational work and I’ve learnt a lot from his films, my favourite of his to date is tied between ‘Trainspotting’ and ‘Trance’.
Favourite food: I’m going to have to be a stereotypical northerner here and say pies. You just can’t beat a good meat and onion pie!
Guilty Pleasure: chocolate, most definitely!
First music you ever bought: Well, I distinctly remember buying my first two CDs, and they were Gareth Gates’ album after he won ‘Pop Idol’ and a Busted Album. I was completely obsessed with both of these, I still have the posters!
Cats or dogs: Cats are cute for sure, but I’m going to have to say dogs as I have my own golden retriever called Sandy.
What would your superpower be? I’d definitely have telekinesis (moving objects without touching them). It’s be great to have in everyday use!
Why support Bright Sparks – Let It Out? Let it Out is a single made by young people for young people. The donations made will help 400,000 people all over the UK, and you get something out of it too – a fantastic song!
