New Chief Commissioner for Scotland

Graham Haddock has been announced as the new Chief Commissioner of Scotland and will succeed Eleanor Lyall on 1 August 2011.

Graham has a strong Scouting background and has held roles in a wide range of appointments, including a stint as UK Explorer Scout Commissioner. He is a member of the Board of The Scout Association, and chairs the UK Operations Committee.

A wealth of experience

In announcing Graham’s appointment, UK Chief Commissioner Wayne Bulpitt said:

'Graham brings a wealth of experience from senior volunteer roles in Scotland and across the UK including the very successful launch of Explorer Scouting. I’m delighted that he has accepted this key role to lead and inspire Scouting in Scotland and to build on the significant achievements of Eleanor who retires after seven years as Chief Commissioner.'
