More Information

The Safeguarding Team will be holding a Lessons Learnt Training event on the 28th September 2019 at Crawfordsburn Scout Centre. This training event will provide you with an update on lesson learnt from past Safeguarding cases. Including support with how to deal with the many and varied questions raised around safeguarding including information on current trends and best practice within the country.

The aims are:

  • To reinforce that Safeguarding is everyone’s responsibility.
  • To discuss what can be learnt from past cases within NI.
  • To enable adults to reflect on their current practise to ensure that the organisation is as safe as possible.
  • To ensure everyone is confident with reporting concerns

Safeguarding awareness coordinators (District and County Trainers) and Commissioners are welcome to attend.

The day will involve a group session for all, followed by a breakout session for coordinator/trainers/managers and Commissioners in the later part of the day.
