Volunteer Journey - Programme Board Member
Help make volunteering easier and more rewarding by joining our board to deliver one of our transformational strategic priorities by 2023. This exciting piece work will look at how we improve and transform our volunteer journey. Together we’ll transform adult recruitment, making the appointment process easier and more inclusive, and ensuring adult training is simple, relevant and more effective. This will ensure we give all volunteers an outstanding experience and help recruit and retain amazing section leader teams and adults who support them.
The volunteer journey is an adult volunteer’s path through the Scouts. It goes from the moment they are first recruited and are welcomed into the Scouts, through appointment and induction and into training, recognition and review.
The role is for volunteer members of the board. You will help to govern the delivery of the volunteer journey programme (a number of projects which, together, aim to transform the volunteer journey.
The key outputs of the volunteer journey programme, which you will contribute to are:
- Transforming the adult recruitment and joining process
- Simplifying training, focusing on developing and supporting amazing section leaders
- Creating a positive and rewarding volunteer experience for new and existing volunteers
