Fundays Event Programme Lead
Scout Adventures Events aim to provide a memorable event experience to Young People within Scouting from all over the country. A unique and exciting event programme is a crucial element to achieve this aim. The Fundays event, targeted at Beavers and Cubs is the key national event for this age range and represents an opportunity to deliver adventurous, creative and fun activities for this group of young people.
This an exciting opportunity for a volunteer to lead the organisation of Funday’s, one of our biggest events of the year. The Fundays Event Programme Lead will be the point of contact for zone/area leads prior to and during the event. The role forms the link between zone/area managers and the overall organisation for Scout Adventures Events. The Fundays Event Programme Lead will work in partnership with the SA Events Programme Strategy Lead and a wide range of individuals, SASUs and departments within The Scouts; as well as other Volunteer Team Leads prior to, during and after the event.

The closing date for applications and nominations is 6 October. Once the shortlist is drawn up, the interviews are expected to take place at Gilwell Park on w/c 14 October. Shortlisted candidates will be notified of the timings and given an outline of the selection process and the format of the interview day. These dates and times can be flexible.
