European Jamboree UK International Service Team (Programme)

For the European Jamboree 2020 (held in Gdansk, Poland) the organisers are asking participating countries to contribute to the programme by providing activities (detailed below).

We are ‘pre-selecting’ a number of International Service Team (IST) members to work with our European Jamboree UK Programme Coordinator to help us deliver this programme:

  • An Evening Programme of walk-in, free time activities for approximately half the number of their participants, for the UK this will be at least 1000 people. Activities should be aligned with one of the three components of the evening programme; Active, Chill Out and Tedx (technology, education and design). We will recruit a maximum of 8 pre-selected IST for our Evening Programme.
  • A Day-time Programme as part of the Modular Programme; the Scoutcraft module as part of the Wake Up programme pillars (based on 21st century skills). Activities are to be prepared in advance of the event and delivered in both the morning and the afternoon for a minimum of one patrol (9 youth members and 1 adult leader). The UK team will be providing three different activities, running for 3 hours. We will recruit a maximum of 4 pre-selected IST for our Day-time Programme who will be specialists in their chosen techniques.
  • During the International Day “Power in Diversity” walk-in, free time activities organized mainly in subcamps, but the Contingent Tent can be used. Activities and displays/information should present the national traditions of the UK. We will use all 12 pre-selected IST, along with our UK Scout European Jamboree Team, adult leaders and participants for our International Day activities.
