Contingent Management Team – UK Contingent, World Scout Moot 2021

The World Scout Moot is a World Organization of Scout Movements (WoSM) event for young people aged between 18 and 25. The event will take place in Ireland between 19 and 29 July 2021. We are looking to appoint a Contingent Management Team (CMT).

The CMT will be a small team lead by the Moot 2021 UK Contingent Leader, with support and guidance from the Volunteer Head of Events and the staff Events Team to deliver this life-changing experience for young people from all parts of the country.

The Contingent Management Team will consist of 8 volunteers: the Contingent Leader (already appointed), two Deputy Contingent Leaders and five Contingent Management Team members. Each member of the team will have a key portfolio of responsibility but will also be expected to work collaboratively across the team.

We are seeking a CMT who wish to develop their skills in a range of areas including event planning, logistics and pastoral support. This does not mean that all members of the team need all the skills and years of experience, so applications are encouraged from those with any of the relevant skills and regardless of their length of Scouting involvement. This is a great opportunity which could be a launch pad for you to lead future UK international events!

We are looking for people who have some experience of managing and leading and have skills outlined in the role description.  We will also accept applications from people who are willing to use this opportunity to learn and develop these skills with the support and coaching available.
