Curriculum Adviser

Our programme covers a huge range of topics, skills and outcomes. We want to focus on where we can make the biggest difference for young people and where our volunteers need the most support. This role will work with the Volunteer Head of Curriculum to ensure that our programme is constantly becoming more effective at preparing young people for the future and enabling them to shape society.

Scout Adventures Hawkhirst - Wintercamp Youth Engagement Coordinator

This is an exciting opportunity for a volunteer to recruit and lead a Youth forum, having a major influence in the planning and delivery of the programme at Scout Adventures Wintercamp at Hawkhirst. As part of the Scout Adventures Event Team you will work in conjunction with the Programme Team, to shape and deliver a high-quality event.

Scout Adventures Gilwell Park - Wintercamp Daytime Programme Coordinator

This is an exciting opportunity for a volunteer to take the lead in organising the daytime programme, influencing the planning and delivery of the programme at Scout Adventures Wintercamp at Gilwell Park. As part of the Scout Adventures Event Team you will work in conjunction with the Programme Team, to shape and deliver a high-quality event.

Fundays Event Programme Lead

This an exciting opportunity for a volunteer to lead the organisation of Funday’s, one of our biggest events of the year. The Fundays Event Programme Lead will be the point of contact for zone/area leads prior to and during the event. The role forms the link between zone/area managers and the overall organisation for Scout Adventures Events.

Scout Adventures - Event People Lead

The Event People Lead will work with the Centre Support to improve the staffing process at events. They should also ensure sufficient staffing and volunteer wellbeing is being upheld. The role also requires working in partnership with a wide range of individuals, SASUs and departments within The Scouts; as well as other Volunteer Team Leads prior to, during and after the event to ensure sufficient staffing.

Scout Adventures - Volunteer Shop Manager

This an exciting opportunity for a volunteer to lead the organisation and delivery of our onsite shop. As part of the Scout Adventures team you will work in conjunction with the Scout Adventures Volunteer Team, the Gilwell Park Centre Support Team and event volunteer teams as well as a number of individuals supporting Scout Adventures Events. The role reports to the Guest Care Co-ordinator.

Scout Adventures - Event Traffic Lead

This an exciting opportunity for a volunteer to lead the organisation of traffic at our major Events. They will be the point of contact for Centre Support for traffic related enquiries prior to and during the event. The Event Camping Space Lead will lead a team of individuals and work in partnership with the a wide range of individuals, SASUs and departments within The Scout Association; as well as other Volunteer Team Leads prior to, during and after the event. 

Member of the Investment Advisory Group

The role of the member is to provide the Investment Advisory Group with knowledge and experience that will assist in the oversight and management of the Scouts' investment portfolio.

British Scouting Overseas Area Commissioner

British Scouting Overseas are looking for a new lead volunteer to support and provide direction to volunteers across the Area. Key attributes needed include good interpersonal skills and the ability to motivate and inspire others. The successful volunteer will work with the Area Team to provide line management support to the 4 Districts that make up this unique Area of UK Scouting.

County Commissioner for Central Yorkshire

We are now recruiting for a Programme Assurance Team, which is a key team in supporting the ongoing review of rules and regulations, guidance for adventure and activities and reviewing developing programme content.

Scouting sometimes needs volunteer interpreters for different kinds of events including courses, conferences and jamborees, both at regional and world level.
