Matt has held a number of volunteer roles, both locally and nationally, for 20 years, most recently as Regional Commissioner for the East of England. He says his life has been positively shaped by Scouting, having had some amazing experiences since joining the Movement as a Cub Scout.

Matt is the Head of UK Operations Transformation for the British Red Cross and has extensive experience of strategy development, business planning and transformation, policy design, and programme execution. He has previously held a role as Governor of an NHS Foundation Trust.
