David Sandall

Chair of the Safeguarding Committee

Appointed Member 2019

David has been involved in Scouts since he was a Cub. In his time with us as a young person, he achieved his Queen Scout’s Award and working as a canoe guide during a summer abroad with the Boy Scouts of America.

David is a Law graduate and has worked in policing for the last two decades, recently completing a Masters at Cambridge University.

David is used to operating in an environment of high scrutiny and public accountability. Much of what he has learned throughout his career is relevant and transferable to his role with us – particularly in the areas of safeguarding, investigation, crisis management and leadership.

Outside work, David has an active family life and enjoys spending time outdoors.

As well as volunteering within Scouts , he runs a local children’s football club, supporting young people’s development through sport and outdoor play.
