National Grid

National Grid are the proud sponsor of the Cub Scout Home Safety Badge. Working with The Scout Association they have produced a free activity pack to help Cub Scouts achieve their badge.
We all take our domestic electricity, gas and water supply for granted, but not everyone is sure of what to do if there is an emergency, the lights go out or if there is a gas leak.
National Grid has sponsored an activity pack for the Cub Scout Home Safety Badge. Packs are available for each Cub Scout interested in gaining the badge.
In the form of a poster, the pack has eight activities for Cub Scouts to complete. These include a word search, a spot-the-errors picture, mark-the-location exercises and some valuable home safety advice.
In late 2008, National Grid ran the National Grid Home Safety Competition for Cub Scouts to win prizes for themselves and their Pack. The winners have now been announced.
