Bright Sparks Project on tour
Grab the mic and practice those show-stopping tunes – The Bright Sparks Project is coming to a Scout event near you.
Bright Sparks, which aims to showcase Scouting talent from all over the UK, is going on tour to discover talented singers, dancers, musicians, directors and other creatives.
Scouts of all ages can audition for judge and Bright Sparks creator, Tony Lundon at five Scouting events over the next month, kicking off with Gilwell 24 this Saturday. Live auditions will also take place at:
- Kent International Jamboree, 30 July
- Kernow Jamboree, Cornwall, 31 July
- Poacher Jamboree, Lincolnshire, 2 August
- NIJam, Crawfordsburn, Northern Ireland, 9 August
Creativity in action
As well as auditioning live, budding superstars can submit their audition tapes to the Bright Sparks website. Over 60 videos have been submitted so far.
The closing date for entries is 12 August but you can keep promoting your entry until 31 August. The first Bright Sparks winner will be announced on 1August and the remainder of winners on 1 September.
These lucky winners will get the once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to collaborate with high profile artists and music industry professionals on a single and also on the first Bright Sparks album, due for release in Autumn/Winter 2013. The single will be used to soundtrack an exciting new Scout campaign.
