Diabetes Week takes place between 9-15 June and is a good opportunity to make sure you’re familiar with the condition.
The number of people diagnosed with diabetes has increased to 2.9 million in the UK in the last 15 years, and 29,000 people under the age of 25 live with the condition.
Diabetes Week is an annual awareness and fundraising week organised by Diabetes UK. This year’s focus is research, and the charity is giving people the chance to become part of the diabetes research story.
As camp season approaches, it is vital that information is readily available for Scout leaders and volunteers, and it’s also the perfect time to introduce the condition to your Scouts.
