Executive Committee Trainer Training Weekend

Following successful Executive Committee Trainer Training weekends over the past few years, we are now taking bookings for a further trainer training weekend to be held in October 2017.

Course Aim

The course aims to provide trainers with the knowledge, key messages and some suggested learning methods to enable them to deliver training to Executive Committee members in their County/Area.

The course will focus on:

  • the role, responsibilities and composition of Executive Committees
  • information and best practice to increase the effectiveness of Executive Committees
  • the roles of the officers
  • the recruitment and induction of committee members
  • financial management

Who should attend?

We are looking for experienced, effective trainers, who feel they would be able to take on the challenge of delivering training to Executive Committee Members at Group, District and County/Area level in your area.  Prior knowledge/experience of the roles and responsibilities of Executive Committees is highly desirable, although the training course will cover various ways that this expertise can be built into any training delivered.

There are 24 places available on this event and places are limited to two trainers per County/Area; due to anticipated high demand for places.  Please speak to your County/Area Training Manager if you would like to attend.  A cost of £50 for attendance at the event, to cover accommodation, meals, training and materials, will be charged for each participant.  Some pre-course reading/work will be required to ensure a consistent basic level of knowledge and ability to participate fully throughout the training event.

Details of the trainer training weekend, along with links to the booking form, and payment details, can be found below.

If you would like to discuss any aspect of the events further, please contact executive.committees@scouts.org.uk.
