Safeguarding Awareness Co-ordinator Training - York
The Safeguarding Team are running several Safeguarding Awareness Co-ordinator (SAC) training events throughout 2017. This is an opportunity for both new and existing SAC’s to develop their knowledge and have the tools available to be confident in their role. Both a 2 day course and 1 day refresher course are available to book.

Two Day Course - 4-5 November
One Day Refresher Training - 5 November
Both days beginning at 10am and are expected to finish at 4pm.
PLEASE NOTE that only those who have attended the full safeguarding training course in the past 3 years will be eligible to attend the refresher training.
Two Day Course - £20 includes full board accommodation and resources pack.
One Day Refresher Training - £10 includes lunch, refreshments and a resources pack.
Priority will be given to new SACs, followed by an appointed Deputy or Assistant. Currently we are only accepting one SAC per event from each County due to limited spaces.
Current SACs, County Training Managers, Regional Training Advisers and Scout Active Support Managers & Co-ordinators with responsibility for Safeguarding training are also welcome to attend dependant on availability. Your name will be held on a waiting list and confirmation of a place will be given 2 weeks prior to the event.
