UK Specialist Adviser (Air Scouts)
The Education Team is currently recruiting for a UK Specialist Adviser (Air Scouts)
The UK Specialist Adviser (Air Scouts) will report directly to the Deputy UK Commissioner for Programme (6-14) and work actively with staff and volunteers from UK Headquarters to develop and promote Air Scouting across the country. Whilst providing expert advice on Air Scouting, the Adviser’s key role will be to represent the views and policies of UK Headquarters to Air Scout Groups and Units. They will also need to listen to the views from the Movement and feedback accordingly to UK Headquarters.
The Adviser will promote Air Scouting both to internal and external audiences. They will also promote good practice in Air Scouting.
An Adviser may be asked to represent the UK Commissioner for Programme at events and occasions and will be seen as part of the UK Headquarters’ Team. The Adviser may also be required to contribute to publications and resources by providing specialist input on Air Scout matters.
You will be supported by the Deputy UK Commissioner for Programme (6-14), and Officers in the Scout Programme and Technical Teams at UK HQ.
All out-of-pocket expenses such as travel, meals, and so on, will be paid in line with The Scout Association Volunteer Expense Policy. The appointment will initially be for one year.
