Rovers100 International Event Project Team Member

2018 will mark 100 years of Rover Scouting. The World Organisation of the Scout Movement (WOSM) is leading the celebrations and the UK is keen to engage with these celebrations.

Rovers started in the UK and soon spread around the world. In the UK, Rovers was eventually replaced by Venture Scouts, and then Explorer Scouts and Scout Network which we still have today. During 2018, there will be a global celebration of 100 years of Rovers and The Scout Association will play its part by providing a range of exciting programme ideas and activities for Explorer Scouts and Scout Network members, helping to build links between the two sections.

This role will involve planning and implementing a European event for UK Scout Network members to participate in, as part of the Rovers100 celebrations. This will all be done in partnership with other volunteers and HQ staff.
