Member, Staffing, Salary and Remuneration Committee

The Scout Association’s Staffing, Salary and Remuneration Committee is seeking to appoint two additional members. In particular we are looking for people with professional experience at a senior level in HR, organisational development or change, remuneration and/or employee engagement. The role is a Volunteering role but reasonable expenses will be paid in accordance with the Association’s Expenses Policy.

Areas of responsibility

The Staffing, Salary and Remunerations Committee is responsible to the Board of Trustees with delegated authority to complete the annual review of senior management and staff remuneration. It also oversees strategic HR activities relating to the Association’s employed staff.

The role

The role would include reviewing papers and recommendations submitted to the Committee and attend meetings to share ideas, discuss strategic HR work, and approve actions. The Committee meet 3 times per year (usually held in February, July and November at Baden Powell House, London SW7 5JS).
