Summary of Job
This key role will manage the technology infrastructure within The Scout Association. It is responsible for the technical delivery of infrastructure projects and services to the business in a reliable, secure and cost effective manner. This will include the administration responsibility for all IT infrastructure systems across The Association, Unity, Scoutshops, Activity and Conference Centres. These systems include network and communications, Windows Servers environment, telephony, private and public cloud services. In addition to internal systems and resources this role will also be responsible for managing outsourced and supplier contracts for services and hosted applications. As well as leading infrastructure projects across The Association this role will be responsible for the management of internal, volunteer and supplier teams when required. As a senior member of the IT Team they will be expected to manage these resources to deliver output on time, budget and to the highest quality. The Infrastructure Engineer will also work with the Chief Digital Officer to ensure appropriate resources are available to meet The Association’s Digital Strategy and Strategic Vision ‘Beyond 2018’.

About You
You will be experienced in managing technical infrastructure projects with the ability to communicate at all levels in The Association. You will be driven to achieve continual improvements in service, availability and efficiency through identification and implementation of technical and process changes.
