Heritage Service

Have you ever wondered what Scouts in the past wore, thought or did?

The Scout Association Heritage Collection holds photographs, diaries, letters and objects which tell the story of over 100 years of Scouting activity.

The Scout Association Heritage Service looks after the Heritage Collection. We are a small team based at Gilwell Park.

Through an active and innovative programme of collecting, interpreting and engagement the Heritage Collection helps create connections between members of The Scout Association, both past and present, and the wider community.

We are currently undertaking a programme of activity to make Scouting Heritage more accessible through partnerships, digital activity and engagement resources. To find out more about our plans please contact the team on heritage@scouts.org.uk
